1. MOOC Characteristics
1.1 Course Objective: The purpose of studying the discipline is to form a set of knowledge about methods for collecting, processing, summarizing and analyzing statistical information on processes in the service sector. As a result, the student determines, calculates the main indicators of the development of the service sector, applies statistical methods of information processing, analyzes quantitative indicators of socio-economic phenomena and processes
1.2 Course Tasks
- to familiarize students with the basic concepts and methods of statistical analysis used in the service sector, including the collection, grouping, and presentation of data on consumer demand, service quality, and enterprise performance efficiency.
- to teach students to apply statistical tools to assess the dynamics of the service market development, analyze pricing policies, and measure customer satisfaction.
- to develop students’ skills in conducting independent statistical research in the service sector — from formulating hypotheses and collecting primary data to processing, interpreting results, and preparing analytical reports for managerial decision-making.
1.3 Learning Outcomes: Аpplies statistical methods of collecting, processing and analyzing information, uses indicators to assess processes in the service sector and quantitative indicators to analyze socio-economic phenomena.
