Characteristics of the MOOC 1.1 Aim of study: the aim of studying this course is to form a comprehensive understanding of entertainment as a strategic component of the hospitality industry by developing students’ knowledge of its theoretical foundations, historical evolution, functional role in guest experience, economic significance, and technological transformation. The course is designed to equip learners with the ability to analyze entertainment practices in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and related hospitality settings, design and evaluate entertainment programs and events, assess their impact on guest satisfaction and loyalty, and apply innovative, ethical, and culturally sensitive approaches to entertainment management. 1.2 Objectives of study:  to understand the role, history, and forms of entertainment in hospitality.  to develop skills in planning, managing, and evaluating entertainment events and services.  to apply innovative and ethical approaches in creating guest experiences through entertainment. 2. Learning Outcomes: upon successful completion of the course, students acquire comprehensive knowledge of the role and significance of entertainment in the hospitality industry, including live performances, events, media entertainment, gastronomy-based entertainment, digital and interactive formats, and cultural and seasonal programs. Students develop the ability to analyze guest experience through entertainment, assess the effectiveness and economic viability of entertainment initiatives, design and promote hospitality events, and apply principles of innovation, ethics, diversity, and social responsibility in entertainment management. 3. Prerequisites. To successfully complete this MOOC, learners must possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired through the study of the school program. 4. Postrequisites. The knowledge, skills, and competencies acquired through the study of this MOOC are required for the successful completion of the following courses: Image and business communication. 5.
